This workshop will feature Drs. Michael Mannino and Jennifer Jo Brout. Dr. Michael Mannino leads this workshop discussing the neuroscience of misophonia, the research, potential future treatments, and what all this means for you and your (or your child/patient’s) brain.

Neuroscientist, philosopher and athlete Michael Mannino recently graduated with his PhD in neuroscience at the Center for Complex Systems and Brain Sciences at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. His research is in computational cognitive neuroscience, and focuses on complex information flow in large scale brain networks. Michael is currently an adjunct professor teaching philosophy, critical thinking, ethics, logic, psychology and comparative religion at Miami Dade College in Miami, FL. He has a Masters in philosophy from California State University, Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Science in astrophysics from Florida Institute of Technology. Michael’s other main relevant interests include all aspects of fitness and movement, especially how that relates to the brain and a conceptual framework called embodied cognition.
